Facilities

We can accommodate a wide range of activities from small gatherings to large events.

Our purpose built Back Hall, which includes The Ellis Suite and Baldwin Room, can be configured in several ways and our separate Founders’ Suite is perfect for little ones.

The site is safe and secure with a Caretaker on duty during opening hours, car park lighting and CCTV.

A state of the art heating/cooling system and opening windows in the function rooms ensures you are always comfortable.

We are also dog-friendly.

The Ellis Suite

With approximately 130sq/m of usable floor space and direct access to the well-equipped kitchen, separate bar and private garden (see further details below), this is the largest of the available rooms, ideal for banqueting or other formal functions with up to 120 people.

A discreet, six-speaker sound system with Bluetooth and other inputs can be used to create the ideal ambiance for your event, plus there are several power points installed in the room, including the floor.

This room can also be partitioned 70/30 for greater flexibility.

The Baldwin Room

Designed for more intimate gatherings, the Baldwin Room has 36sq/m of usable floor space, plenty of electrical sockets, both wall and floor mounted.

Ideal for meetings and will comfortably hold up to 40 people theatre style.

The Birkby Lounge

A place to relax, meet friends or wait for your event.

There’s no need to book and the kettle’s always on.

We also have a donations based bring and buy library to keep you occupied.

The MUGA

The Multi-Use Games Area, or MUGA, is open 7 days a week (except between Christmas and New Year) and is available to anyone who wants to play basketball, football, netball or other court-based games free of charge.

Please note: it is run on a strictly first-come, first served basis and does not need to be booked, however we host Boxing/Circuits here on Mondays between 9:30 and 10:30am, Circuits on Tuesdays between 6 and 7pm, Group Training on Thursdays between 6 and 7pm and Fridays between 10 and 11am – weather permitting.

The Bar

We have a fully licensed bar, provided by Elite Bars.

Please note: only alcohol served by Elite Bars can be consumed on the premises.

The Kitchen

We have a catering quality fitted kitchen with dishwasher and instant hot water tap.

We can also provide crockery, cutlery and most things you need for a fully catered function.

The Gardens

We are lucky to have the Queen’s Jubilee Gardens at the front of the site and our secluded garden at the rear is a lovely suntrap, perfect for summer events, and is colourful all year round.

The Founders' Suite

Our self-contained Founders’ Suite is additionally designed for small children, their safety and security.
